Chiropractic care for babies

For parents who want a chiropractor to look at how their baby moves, rests and is held, in a visit short enough to fit between feedings.

Your baby stays in your arms or on your lap, dressed, the whole time. The doctor watches how your baby moves and holds their head, and uses light fingertip pressure only if the exam supports it and you agree.

What to expect

  • What a visit includes

    A short talk and a look at how your baby moves.

    • Your baby stays in your arms and dressed

    • Light touch only, and only with your yes

    • A few ways to hold and carry that are easier on both of you

  • How long and how often

    Visits are short. Your doctor sets a plan after the exam, and we do not promise a number of visits or a result.

  • What we do not claim

    We do not claim to treat or prevent any illness in a baby, and we do not say a baby needs a chiropractor. We do not replace well-child visits or vaccines.

  • When to see a physician first

    Call your pediatrician or 911 first if your baby has a fever, is hard to wake, has trouble breathing or feeding, is not wetting diapers or has had a fall or a blow to the head.

  • Risks

    Soreness or fussiness afterward is possible and usually short. Your doctor explains the risks to you before any care, and you can say no to any part of the visit.

  • How it is paid

    At the visit, with an itemized receipt. A baby's adjustment is its own line in your written estimate.

At what age can a baby come?

At any age. The doctor decides what, if anything, to do after talking with you and watching your baby move.

Will my baby cry?

Some babies fuss, as they do at any new place. You hold your baby, and we pause whenever you ask.
