For expecting parents
Chiropractic care during pregnancy
For people who are pregnant and want a chiropractor's hands for the low back and pelvis, with a clear picture of what that is and is not.
The visit is built around how you are carrying: the low back, the pelvis and the hips. We use positioning and cushions so you are comfortable, and we stop whenever you ask.

What to expect
What a visit includes
A talk, an exam and, if your doctor suggests it, an adjustment.
Cushions and positions fitted to how far along you are
The doctor explains each step first
A written plan you can show your midwife or OB
How long and how often
Your doctor sets a plan after the exam and changes it as your pregnancy goes. We do not promise a number of visits.
What we do not claim
The Webster technique is a named chiropractic technique for the low back and pelvis: the doctor checks how the pelvis and the joints around it move and adjusts them with light, specific pressure. We describe it so you know what happens in the room. We make no claim about how a pregnancy or a birth will go.
When to see a physician first
Ask your midwife or OB first if you have bleeding, fluid leaking, a sudden severe headache, swelling that comes on fast or less movement from your baby. Call them, or 911 if it feels urgent, and do not wait for a visit with us.
Risks
Soreness after a visit is common and usually short. Your doctor explains the risks of any care before it begins, and you can say no to any part of a visit.
At the visit, with an itemized receipt. The Webster technique is its own line in your written estimate, so you only pay for what the visit included.
Questions about this care
Do I need a referral from my midwife or OB?
No. We ask you to tell them you are coming, and we will talk with them if you ask us to.
Can I come in my first trimester?
Yes. Tell the doctor how far along you are, and they will adjust the visit to fit.
Come in with your questions
A call or a message is enough to start. Nothing is booked until you say so.
- A sudden severe headache or neck pain, dizziness, trouble speaking or seeing, new weakness or numbness, numbness in the groin or saddle area (between the legs and buttocks), or new bladder or bowel trouble needs emergency care now. Call 911 or go to an emergency room.
